Elim Church

Today we begin a three-part series all about God’s beautiful, messy, incredible masterpiece… the Church. At Elim, we believe in the Church—we believe it is the hope of the world, and we have a heart to see every person discover a deep passion for it. The truth is, the Church and its people haven’t always gotten it right. God’s people are not perfect, and within the place where people come to find hope and joy, there has also been hurt and pain. In this series, Ps. Lukas breaks down what church hurt is and how we can overcome the pain and tension within the body, becoming more like Jesus on a path toward unity and health within God’s house.

Its a good day and we’ve got good news! Christ is risen, Jesus has won the battle and we all have new life in Christ Jesus. This easter message Ps. Lukas helps the disappointed, the dishearten and those who are still doubting to see the good news is staring all of us right in the face, and its our time to hear, receive and embrace the gospel in our lives!

On the Friday of Holy Week, we sorrowfully remember the sacrifice and love of Christ on the cross. The moment cannot be understated and although we look back with heaviness as the weight of sin stares us right in the face. We remember...It is called “Good Friday” for what Christ has done, is a good and finished work on the cross.

As we approach Easter weekend, we finally see in the scriptures a brief moment where Jesus allows himself to be fully known by all those around Him. He is embracing the worship and praise from many, yet even in what is a glorious day.. there are some who deny Him. At the end of the day, we play a part in making His good news known, because His good news deserves a good faithful praise.

We are kicking off a brand new series all about GOOD NEWS. The gospel, the works of Jesus on the cross for you and me, is such good news, its worth sharing. And YET… it goes deeper! The miracle working power, the good news of change and transformation in our life from Jesus also needs to be shared! We are a good news church in a bad news world and in this series we break down what is the gospel, what does the gospel do and why it’s so important we share it!

Love, romance, dating, marriage… everyone’s favourite topic and everyone has their own set of “tips and tricks”  on what a great marriage should look like. But what does God say about marriage? Ps. Lukas breaks down what it looks like to look for love and what a Godly healthy romantic relationship is supposed to look like.

The famous quote “show me your friends and I will show you your future” has never seemed more true. Every person needs good friends, lifting you up, encouraging you as you both run the race of life together with others. But what makes a good friend? What does a Godly healthy friendship look like? In this message Ps. Lukas breaks down who you should want to run the race of life beside in week 3 of our relationship series.
